Hello  and welcome to my site!  I'm a freelance travel/features writer and  photographer who should have played in the midfield for West Ham United and  outside half for Wales and The Lions.

I write about far flung isolated countries, small ship expedition cruising/land tours, hotels, fascinating people, birds and my beloved Northumberland.  Now that I'm in my 70s and on my own I'm also interested in solo and accessible travel across all ages but especially for the older generation.
